what sucks is plague touch don't remove mesmer hexes ect. Kinda messed up.

I'm not too afraid of empathy cause I hit them with insane dmg as a hammer guy at a slower rate per swing. When they burden me i just turn around to work on another player.
There's really nothing i can do when they burden me. Just ignore the stupid dot they lay on you.

lol thats kind of like how I went against a ranger 1 v 1 (we were last alive) but I had little health so I ran using Troll Unguent (Im a E/R) and since he kept trying to using stances, I would get away and when my health got up to about 3/4 I stopped, using Glyph of Lesser Energy, Fire Storm (cause I knew he would stop to do stance), then immolate, fireball, and flare until he died, he just started running away from the fire storm and tried healing from the on fire degeneration and that left him defenseless. Its all about how you play, you cant just run in, you need to be sneaky ninja-like.

>Its just weird they seem easy to melee and this one destroyed me 2 times.

There are at least a couple of mesmer builds I know of that are designed to stand toe to toe with a warrior, but they're not the most common builds. Sounds like you met one.

Specialist builds have their weaknesses too, often a glaring weakness (which may take you some time to find, or you may need a teammate's powers to exploit instead of your own, but it's there).

dont forget about illusionary weaponry, which ignores armor and will shred a warrior to pieces long before he makes a dent. combined with distortion and cry of frustration or bonetties defense and healing signet you have got an extremely versatile killing machine indestructable against physical damage.

i love showing w/mo their place with my me/w

i suppose now the problem for a warrior is not being able to tell if a mesmer is built anti caster or anti melee. in my experience most have been easy so I'm supposing that most are anti caster attempting to shut down a monk. but i wouldn't be suprised if more anti melee mesmers started showing up.

I perfer to take only a couple of melee skills into battle, both based on adre.

The rest are a mixture of removal spells (remove hex, etc, etc) with either healing or protection spells.

Depending on which ones I take, are which classes I'll go after.

I was on a level 15 team last night with 3 mesmers and 1 warrior, very impressive team.

Another thing to consider is age. Like the City of Heroes Controller I think mesmers are played by older people for the most part. Young players tend to go for pure power. Older players the controller type classes. I think one reason an all mesmure team is so good is that you have older more experienced gamers. It's just a theory.

35 year old mesmure by the way.

hmm, could have a point there, but also, i would have to say that also some players that have been playing MMOs for yrs now would go for that kinda class. i says this because i have 2 guildies that love being mesmers and one is 19 the other 24(or so). and some of us in my guild are coming from DAoC.

but ya, mesmer is a mean class thats for sure, i myself havnt gone up agiasnt a mesmer thats pwned me, but im sure such a day shall happen for my w/mo, but untill then, monks are breakfest, casters are luanch, and other warriors are for dinner

I always run in holding a bow or wand then bring out the big ol' hammer on the first moron who rushes me with my 3 dmg bow. (Which I have been using to build up adrenaline before you get to me )

Distortion looks like it will go down if they use Wild Blow by the discription of the skill.

Distortion offers 75% to evade and Wild Blow negates any stance that causes evade, I haven't tested this but I'm just going by the skill discriptions. Seeking Blade is another that cannot be blocked and if evaded causes damage and causes you to bleed. Valarian.
